Screamland 2006
Alice's Twisted Fairy Tales
In 2006 Darkest Dreams Entertainment wanted to perform the story of
Alice in Wonderland in haunt form. With the real sick and twisted vision
that you can only get by reading between the lines of Lewis Carol's
Classic. At the time news came that Screamland was looking for more
help with their attractions that year. They were also thinking of doing
Grim Fairy Tales as an attraction. After meeting it seemed only natural to
combine forces and mix up all the demented characters into an
attraction like no other.
DDE produced half of the attraction while working closely with
Screamland's pro crew of monster makers. It was a memorable and
wonderful year! After the season Clear channel radio unfortunately had
to cut all it's event departments after a corporate buy out. The artists
and managers eventually went on to work for other haunts all over
Portland. DDE expects to remount Alice in Wonderland in a full scale in
2009.

Screamland-Alice's Twisted Fairytales

"Reason why I give the double feature an "lost control of a bodily function" rating is because I screamed so
much that I almost pweked up lung butter. I wasn't expecting it to be that scary. (because of past posts) I know
some of it wasn't scary & the lighting was a little bright at times, but I think it added to the creepiness of the
place. Just when you think you're safe...next room scares the **** out of you. If you didn't have a fear of clowns
from the movie It, you will after this. I have a big fear of spiders & they definitely played on that fear. Little Miss
Muffet...yikes! I also don't like pork, couldn't have picked a better animal to creep me out with. I'm sure they
added smell to that room. Yuck! Some rooms I ran through. I had nightmares & my throat"

"Steve K had the best this year of the 6 "Pro" haunts I visited. I great blend of Actor and automated props."

"warped!"

"It was twisted alright."

"Had some really good parts."

"very scary

"It was great! Screamland is always entertaining and fun. I loved it and loved the whole embience. Regardless
of if it was the scariest one this year, it was the most entertaining and interesting. Terrific sets. Like being in a
movie. Very Cool!"

"This is not your standard, run-of-the-mill, guy-in-a-creepy-mask haunt. But if you allow yourself to go with the
theme, you'll find it unsettling nonetheless. Incredible detail has gone into creating a truly fun and fascinating
walk through the dark world of fairy tales. There are a few good actor-based scares thrown in, just to let you
know you're not safe. Remember to look in all directions, including up, or you'll miss some really cool creations.
Not the scariest of all, but definitely worth seeing."

"We lucked out and got in before the big crowds showed up. It was scarey as hell!"

"AWESOME! great detail and design. Loved the actors though sometimes a little too much light gave away their
position.

"Don't take small children to this it will ruin the fairy tale"

"This was fun to go to. I thought it was like a haunted forest. We had a good time last night. I'd go again."
